The boswellic acids that come from frankincense have good antibacterial properties, which can help prevent gum disease and treat infections in your mouth. It is also believed to have a calming effect on the mind and stimulate memory and brain function.

Infuse it

Adding the resin to water and letting it soak overnight in the fridge can then be drunk for digestive issues, stomach problems, and cramps.

The 'resin water’ is then soaked and used as a face-cleansing cosmetic by Somali women. It is also used as an ingredient for an anti-wrinkle cream.
